Microsoft Will Launch Office 2010 Immediately
Microsoft will officially launch Office 2010 for the business segment in May 12, 2010. Whereas for the consumer segment, Office 2010 will be launched in June 2010.
This giant software developer also provides free software upgrades for customers who buy Office 2007 from now to 30 September. Thus was launched on Computerworld, Monday (8/3/2010).
Previously, Microsoft heralded will release Office 2010 on this March 2010, but it was denied by Microsoft itself with the official release date of software to support these work activities.
Microsoft plans to sell the four retail versions of Office 2010 from $99 until price $499. This price, according to Microsoft, is still equal to the price of the previous Office. When launch, Office 2007 software programs is sold with almost the same price. Even Office 2007 is one of the two products that are considered sufficient to provide benefits for Microsoft.
This largest software producer in the world are also rumored to be sold a version for the academy (education) at a price of $99, basic version costing $149 for consumers, and several software packages for full-featured business at a price of $499.
Adobe Reader And Acrobat Get Yet Another Security Update
Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash seem to be two of the most targeted software programs by malicious software and hackers besides the Microsoft Windows operating system and Internet Explorer. It is rare that a month passes by without yet another update that fixes a security vulnerability in Adobe Reader or Acrobat.
Today a critical vulnerability was disclosed that is affecting all Adobe Reader 9.3 and earlier and Adobe Acrobat 9.3 and earlier versions on Windows and Macintosh. The Adobe Reader 9.3 or earlier Unix versions are also vulnerable.
As described in Security Bulletin APSB10-06, this vulnerability (CVE-2010-0186) could subvert the domain sandbox and make unauthorized cross-domain requests. In addition, a critical vulnerability (CVE-2010-0188) has been identified that could cause the application to crash and could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system. September 2009 Microsoft Security Patches
Microsoft has released the security patches for September 2009 which fix browser and web based attacks in various Microsoft programs and operating systems. All security patches have a critical or important security rating and are users who work with these software programs or operating systems should update them as soon as possible to protect their system from these attacks.
