Good news for iPhone lovers who are located in cold areas. Apple is about to develop special gloves that can be used by iPhone user’s during the winter season.
iPhone and iPod touch is difficult to use in cold regions, because the screen is highly dependent on their response to the electricity on the human finger.
However, in winter, users usually wear gloves, which will hamper the touch of finger on the touch screen. Because the display will not be able to react, the user typically must remove the gloves for navigation.
With a patented Apple technology, users can still perform navigation with the gloves, because it provides a layer of gloves, which will stimulate the same way as that is given by the finger.
The layer can touch iPhone screen or iPod Touch, through a hole in the tip of each finger gloves.
This glove is also coated by a waterproof layer, but still allows users to use the iPhone like they use bare hands and fingers.
Not like the registrations of other Apple technology patents, this glove technology could be categorized as not too sophisticated. Because, clothing manufacturer such as DOTS, had also created special gloves for the iPhone, which is made to produce conductivity.
However, those efforts are usually faced by the two kinds of limitations. The declining of the touch contact point because of the thick sheath, or a good conductivity surface, but reduce the ability of the glove to absorb the cold.
The copyright is proposed by Steven Hotelling and Ashwim Sunder on 28 June 2007, a day before the iPhone was launched. But there is no certainty when Apple will apply this technology.

of course this is interesting information for iphone owner and they have to own those gloves

I have the fingerless gloves, and the ones that have only the thumbs out (texting gloves) but it’s so cold in NY that you really need these. I have to look into these more. Thanks.
